Odell Grade School Addition Ground Breaking

Odell Grade School broke ground for the new 1.4 million dollar, 5,500-square foot addition on Thursday, February 9, 2012. Construction for the new addition will begin within a month and should be completed in time for the new school year in August.  This addition will include a new special needs classroom, a band room, two offices, a concession stand and an entry into the gymnasium and bathroom facilities.  The building will also receive and energy upgrade as part of this project. Plumbing, heating, exterior doors and windows will be upgraded and air conditioning throughout the building will be added. Those present at the ground breaking ceremony were School Superintendent Mark Hettmansberger, Board Members, Mark Hilleary, Bonnie Bolen, Shari Hoegger, and Mark Johnson.
